New Class! Amida 20 Flow

New Class Coming in February

About the New Amida 20 Flows

Amida is Japanese for Paradise. 20 set poses or flows with minimal variations. For those of you who want a consistent challenge and sequence that you can deepen into and slowly notice your body improving into. There’s a reason why Ashtanga and Bikram have both been popular throughout the decades. For some, the repetition of the same postures over the months and years allows for not only personal physical growth, but allows for the class to more and more become like a meditation as we put less and less thought into the poses and more and more into our personal sense of being and our powerful breath.
The classes will be challenging and share certain core characteristics and poses. Changes will be slight and you can expect essentially the same class every time you come. The Amida 20 flows will emphasize static poses held for 1 to 2 minutes each, emphasizing endurance, flexibility and strength – while introducing some challenging flows at the beginning and middle for building upper body strength.
The class is in the developmental stages but this what it might look like.
