Richmond Beach Yoga grew out of my love of yoga and my desire to teach in my own community. It has been thrilling to watch the studio grow. It makes me incredibly happy to hear stories from students about how their practice at Richmond Beach Yoga has benefitted them.

Growing up on Whidbey Island, I played sports and danced, and in my early twenties I began practicing yoga after graduating from the University of Washington with a B.A. in English/Creative Writing. I went on to get a Master in Teaching degree from Seattle University and taught in school and hospital settings before choosing to focus on yoga.

I have studied with teachers in various styles of yoga, and my biggest influence is Theresa Elliott. I have studied meditation with teachers from several Buddhist traditions, and am a student of Venerable Dhammadinna and Tenzin Jesse of Bodhiheart Sangha in Seattle.

In my free time, I enjoy walking on the beach, reading, and spending time with friends and family. My son Stephen is a student at Shorewood High School. I am delighted to be sharing yoga with neighbors, friends, and family here in Richmond Beach, and look forward to many years of deepening practice with this fantastic community.
